Last Sunday saw Wheeler John Woodhouse ride the epic Tour of Flanders Sportive. Starting and finishing in Oudenarde Belgium the 112 mile route took in 20 cobbled climbs and 4 cobbled flat sections. Woodhouse together with over 6000 other riders tackled the toughest of climbs including the iconic Koppenberg with a gradient averaging 9.2% with a maximum of 22% !

The final two cobbled climbs of the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg led to the finishing line which the professionals would cross the following day. Woodhouse completed the ride in just over 10 hours.

Sunday’s club ride is to Lotherton. Meet at 9am at Brewers Fayre Wombwell. Visitors are welcome.
