Last Sunday Wheeler Paul Heggie travelled to the Leicester Forest 50 mile Open Time Trial on the A46 between Leicester and Newark. On an extremely hot day, despite losing his water bottle after 5 miles, he finished in 2h 22m 46s setting a new club benchmark at 68 years old, beating his time at 67 years old by nearly 5 minutes.

Tuesday saw the third of the club’s 5 mile time trials from Thurgoland to Hoylandswaine roundabout and back. On a warm night, fastest was guest Peter Barusevicus from Albarosa CC in 13m 03s pipping fastest Wheeler Trevor Mayne by just 3 seconds. Other times:
