28th July TT results
Tuesday saw the tenth and last of the club’s 5 mile Time Trials at Thurgoland.
Fastest on the night was Wheeler James Shaw in 12m 18s. On a closely fought night just over a minute separated 3rd and 9th.

The club’s next event is a hill climb up to Green Moor on Tuesday Sept 1st at 18:30
The event is open to all comers. Riders should sign on from 18:00. Entry is £5 and riders must wear a helmet and have working front and rear lights.
On the weekend of 22nd and 23rd August Birdwell Wheelers, on behalf of the North Midlands District of Cycling Time Trials, are promoting the National 10 mile Time Trial Championships on a course at Hatfield Woodhouse near Doncaster.
Previous winners of these prestigious Championships are Yorkshire’s own Beryl Burton and the renowned Sir Bradley Wiggins.
Female and Junior riders will compete on the Saturday and Men on the Sunday.
Races start at 10:01 with riders setting off at 1 minute intervals.
