New Year’s Day saw Wheeler Paul Heggie ride in the traditional Calder Clarion 9km time trial at Heath. His time of 17m 58s placed him 16^th in a field of 30. Phil Tyas of Barnsley Road Club was 4^th in 14m 45s.

Last Saturday four Wheelers, Dave Hudson, Marc Peasegood, Robert Parkes and John Woodhouse were among 200 riders who set out from Bradwell on the Hopey New Year Audax,

a 67 mile loop around the Peak District climbing over 6,000 ft in the process. On a day when the weather was set fair all four riders completed the course together well within the allotted time.

This Sunday’s ride is to Oldcotes. Visitors are welcome. Meet at Brewers Fayre roundabout, Wombwell at 9am. More details on all the above can be foundin the above links
