Last Saturday Paul Heggie rode in his first 25 mile Open Time Trial of the season. The event organised by Leicestershire Road Club took place on the A46 south of Newark. Heggie finished in 1h 3m 31s, shaving 5 seconds off his own club age record at 67 years old.

On Tuesday in the last of the club’s 15 mile Time Trials at Thurnscoe visitor Martin Nelson, fastest in week 1 and 3, repeated the feat with a time of 38:16. Fastest Wheeler was Trevor Mayne.

Next Tuesday sees the first of four 5 mile time trials at Thurgoland. Visitors welcome. The first rider is off at 7pm.

Following the easing of Covid rules the club is now meeting for the Sunday rides at Brewers Fayre roundabout, Wombwell at 9am. Visitors are welcome. This Sunday’s ride is to Slaithwaite. Check the club’s Facebook page https://tinyurl.com/BW-FB-page for last minute changes.
