Last Tuesday saw the first of Birdwell Wheelers 5 mile time trials at Thurgoland. The club was delighted to welcome local professional Jenson Young to the event on his return from a gravel race in Girona Spain.

Fastest on a warm and still night was unsurprisingly Jenson Young in a new course record of 11m 06s shaving 9 seconds off the old record. Fastest club rider was Luke Allen of Sheffrec CC in another sub 12 minute ride of 11m 38s. Fastest Wheeler was Trevor Mayne in 13m 51s and fastest woman was Madeline Moore of Torq in 13m 54s.
