Tonight's results
Birdwell Wheelers were finally dealt some decent weather for their 5 mile time trial last Tuesday at Thurgoland. Nine riders faced a headwind on the out leg but a strong tailwind on the return leg produced some fast times-the top three separated by just 10 seconds.
Fastest on the night was Michael Newton (Barnsley RC) in 12m 21s just 9 seconds ahead of Simon Warren (Norwood Paragon) who was 1 second ahead of fastest Wheeler James Shaw.

The 5 mile event is open to all comers. Riders should sign on from 18:30. Entry is £5 and riders must wear a helmet and have working front and rear lights.
