BIRDWELL WHEELERS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9th June 2026
“Last Wednesday Wheeler Trevor Mayne rode in the Sheffrec Open Time Trial on a hilly course at Barlow near Chesterfield. On a very wet night when a number of riders failed to start Mayne finished in 43m 16s placing him 16th in the standard road bike category.
Tuesday saw the third of the club’s 5 mile Time Trials at Thurgoland. Fastest on the night was Wheeler James Shaw in 12m 30s just 7 seconds ahead of Simon Warren (Norwood Paragon)

The 5 mile event is open to all comers. Riders should sign on from 18:30. Entry is £5 and riders must wear a helmet and have working front and rear lights.
