Last Saturday saw the first of Birdwell Wheelers Open Time Trials. The event took place over a 10 mile course at Hatfield Woodhouse. In the Road Bike Category fastest Wheeler was Joe Woodhouse in 26m 16s placing him 2nd overall. Wheeler John Woodhouse was 4th in 28m 42s a time which earned him the prize for riders over 40 years old. Overall winner was Duncan Putman in 23m 18s.

In the event for time trial specific bikes Wheeler Paul Heggie finished in 27m 52s placing 3rd in the 65-69 year old category in the process setting a new club benchmark for 69 years old. Overall winner was John Brearley in 20m 20s.

Sunday’s club ride is to Bolsover. Meet at 9am at Brewers Fayre Wombwell. Visitors are welcome.
