“On Saturday Wheeler John Woodhouse travelled down to Suffolk where 90 riders set off from Girton Cambridgeshire on a sunny but chilly morning. The 215km Cambridge Autumnal Audax passed through the historic market towns of Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds to the half way point at Framlingham. Rain and a headwind made for a difficult return ride back west via the Maglia Rosso cafe at Hawstead to Girton, Woodhouse finished in 12h 20m, 1h 15m inside the cut off time.

On Sunday Dave Hudson, Austin Watson and Chris Jenkins rode a 65 mile loop to Retford while Tony Lodge, Rodger Holmes, Steve Myatt and guest Dave Betts rode a 50 mile loop to Oldcotes.

This Sunday’s ride is to Slaithwaite. Meet at Brewers Fayre Wombwell at 9:15am. Visitors are welcome.
