Last Tuesday evening three Wheelers were joined by five visitors for the second of the club’s hill climbs. Fastest Wheeler on the night over the 1100 yard climb up to Green Moor was Dan Emery in 3m 7.2s and fastest overall was Rick Bailey from Team B38 in 2m 40.9s

On Sunday Marc Peasegood and Rob Parkes rode the “Help for Heroes” sportive which traversed much of the old Barnsley Borough boundary. They both rode the toughest of the three rides covering 120 miles and climbing 12 000 feet in just under 9 hours.
Two groups were out on the Sunday club rides. Alan and Lucy Bullock, Roger Bacon and Phil Adams rode an 80 mile route via Mattersey to the café stop at Drakeholes.
Steve Myatt and Rodger Holmes rode a 70 mile route to The Old Station House café at Snaith via Mexborough.
The club’s last event of the season is the Open Hill Climb to Green Moor on Sunday evening. 38 riders from as far afield as Leicester and North Wales are competing with the first rider off at 18:01.
The club ride on Sunday morning is to Royd Moor meeting at 9am at Brewers Fayre roundabout Wombwell. Visitors are welcome.
