With the racing season over there was a large turnout for Birdwell’s Sunday ride. Trevor Mayne, Alan Bullock, Robert Parkes, John Woodhouse, Dave Hudson, Chris Jenkins, Rodger Holmes, Roger Bacon, Steve Myatt and Philip Stewart Adams set off from Brewers Fayre roundabout at Wombwell and rode an 80 mile loop to South Milford having to take a detour round flooded roads at Beal.
This Sunday the club ride is a 65 mile ride to Retford. Meet at 9am at Brewers Fayre Wombwell. Visitors are welcome.
The club’s 70th anniversary prize dinner is on Saturday Nov 9th at the Edmunds Arms, Worsbrough Village where the guest of honour is George Miles of Barnsley Road Club.
